S.I.P.

Structurally Insulated Panels

Structurally insulated panels are a roof system made of foam-core panels. These panels consist of laminate with a foam core of 4 - 8 inches thick with structual facing on each side. Construction with S.I.P's could take the place of stick framing in most construction projects.

Insulation Values - panels hold a R- 40 The panels are airtight to be more efficient. The Florida Solar Energy Center found a 12% to 17% on energy savings.

Custom Sizing - all panels are precut in the factory and ready to install

Fast Installation - panels are installs in days verses weeks for conventional framing

Fire Safety - since S.I.P's have no air pockets within their solid foam cores, fire cannot race up the wall cavities into the ceiling. The S.I.P's withstood at least 1,000 degree F. without melting.
